2014 SNUG Healthcare Information Technology Summit

These are a few documents with information on the annual SNUG conference that may help your department in budgeting for this important learning and networking event.

  • SNUG: ROI Why Attend?  - What's in it for my facility ... and me? – An outline of the benefits of SNUG membership and attending the annual conference. This document describes in a nutshell the return on investment that you, your department, and your facility will receive from your attendance. You can attach this to the memo you send with your request to attend SNUG 2014.

  • Getting support from your supervisor – how to justify why your manager or supervisor should send you to the 2013 SNUG Healthcare Information Technology Summit.
  • Current and Archived Online Presentations Available

  • Annual SNUG Conference-at-a-Glance

  • Stay in the Sheraton Sand Key Resort on Clearwater Beach ( SNUG 2014).

  • Renew old friendships and make new ones at the SNUG Welcome Reception on Sunday, April 27.

  • Hear about SCC's “State of the Union” at the opening General Session on Monday, April 28, and enjoy a keynote speaker selected to help you learn something new that you can bring back and share with your colleagues and change the way you look at life and how you handle stress in your daily life. You just might learn a new skill for working through stressful situations.

  • Attend one week of informative breakout sessions and workshops, presented by both SCC staff members and SNUG delegates, Monday through Friday, April 28 – May 2 (conference adjourns after lunch on Friday).

    • Present a session yourself and share your knowledge with your colleagues!

    • Present a poster session and discuss your topic with your colleagues one-on-one!

  • Sit in the driver's seat in the SCC Hands-on Lab and try out SCC products configured for a multitude of network and client environments ( Monday through Friday, April 28 – May 2).

  • Attend a vendor expo/tradeshow that will feature the most practical SCC add-ons and third-party programs. When you tour the Vendor Fair booths at the SNUG Expo, you'll discover the latest in technological advancements ( Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29 and 30 ).

  • Actively participate in the special interest group s ( SIGs ) relevant to your site and influence future product development. SIG sessions are scheduled for Wednesday morning, April 30 .

  • Participate in the SNUG, Inc. Annual Business Meeting and vote for new SNUG officers ( Wednesday afternoon, April 30 ).

Consider running for office yourself on the SNUG Executive Committee and take an active role in the leadership of the Soft Network Users Group.

  • Continue your conference experience and share what you've learned with your co-workers when you return home, with presentations and handouts available online following the conference.

  • Feast on hearty breakfasts, sumptuous lunches, and nutritious snacks, which are included in your registration fee.
